In the first episode of the "Makers Portrait" series, we portrayed the knife maker Benjamin Asbeck, who keeps an old craft alive and finds tranquillity in the forge and the fire. In beautiful natural surroundings directly on the shores of Lake Chiemsee, Benjamin could still be living in the year 1900 and it would work just as well. 

The "Makers Portrait" series is a free project by OFFWEGO and was developed and written by Nick Wolff.

The series specifically seeks out interesting makers who have a unique story to tell and gives these people space to share their story with us.
